As predicted....

Obama favors rendition, which is to say torture. Also as predicted, Obama is getting a pass for being in favor of torture:

The decision to preserve the program did not draw major protests, even among human rights groups. Leaders of such organizations attribute that to a sense that nations need certain tools to combat terrorism.

"Under limited circumstances, there is a legitimate place" for renditions, said Tom Malinowski, the Washington advocacy director for Human Rights Watch. "What I heard loud and clear from the president's order was that they want to design a system that doesn't result in people being sent to foreign dungeons to be tortured -- but that designing that system is going to take some time."
There is no need for a rendition program UNLESS one wants the "receiving" nation to torture the suspects. The human rights groups Democratic Party hacks & PACs know that, but they have decided that anything is okay just so long as it results in Democratic politicians grifters grafters getting to fuck the country over at their leisure. (Daschle, Geithner, we're looking at you.) Never believe anything told to you by some human rights activist again - they're in it for their own self-aggrandizement and political gain more than anything. (Although I imagine they also receive kick-backs from Democratic Party apparatchiks. Or at least a wink-and-a-nod that they won't be audited by the IRS.)

Another prediction has also panned out: bail-out money is making its way back into the pockets of the politicians who doled it out in the first place. As in the days of the Watergate scandal, just follow the money and it will lead you right back to the crooks. Only this time, they have been given a free pass to continue to screw the rest of us over. Don't be surprised by the results.
